Herminia Becerra is a senior at The University of Texas at Arlington and is planning to graduate with a degree in Public Relations and Broadcasting and plans to minor in Philanthropy. She was born and raised in Dallas, Texas but commutes to Arlington during the school semester.
Herminia is part of the Public Relations Student Society of America at her university and has worked with the organization and the 2020 U.S. Census to educate and empower the student body and residents living in the Tarrant County apartment complexes to participate in the census. While living in her dormitory for two years, Herminia was a part of her dormitories council where she was able to create events for the residents living there as well as present requests and recommendations from the residents up to university housing about their living conditions and better ways to accommodate those residents.
While Herminia is not in school, she enjoys reading and listening to podcasts of unsolved cases or horror stories. She also loves to listen to music, read comic books, stay up-to-date with social media trends and watch funny videos with her friends.
