CATCH & Special Olympics Inclusion Project

About this project

The purpose of this project is to create and promote four to six short training videos for out-of-school time instructors that demonstrate basic principles for including youth with intellectual disability (ID) in fun group physical activity time. The videos will be made available for free as a training tool for out-of-school child care providers and promoted internationally by CATCH Global Foundation and Special Olympics International.

CATCH Global Foundation will be developing and filming these videos in the Fall of 2019. We are working with the YMCA of Austin and William’s Community School to recruit children with ID, and their friends or siblings, who wish to participate in the filming of these training videos. The filming will involve participating in physically active games led by trained staff at the Northwest Family YMCA (5807 McNeil Dr, Austin, TX 78729).

If you are interested in participating, please fill out the short interest form below. We will provide further details in the coming weeks. Questions? Contact shana@catch.org
