Des Moines, Iowa – Our first CATCH Early Childhood Training Academy at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center was a hit! What prompted you to be an advocate and champion of children’s health? My brother, who is 3 years younger than me, was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at the age of 7. Watching his journey with this disease and helping with his daily routine prompted me to want to help children make the best decisions they can when managing their health.
