Through partners such as Kellogg’s and the Walmart Foundation, Action for Healthy Kids is pleased to release its School Grants for Healthy Kids opportunities for the 2012-2013 school year. Over 500 schools will be awarded funds that will range from $1,000 to $5,000 (average $2,000) with significant in-kind contributions from Action for Healthy Kids in the form of people, programs, and school nutrition expertise. ING Unsung Heroes

The ING Unsung Heroes program invites grant applications from K-12 educators describing class projects they have initiated or would like to pursue. Each year, one hundred educators are selected to receive $2,000 each to help fund their innovative class projects. Three of those individuals will be chosen to receive awards of an additional $5,000, $10,000, and $25,000. All awards must be used to further the projects within the school or school system.
