CATCH In-School Implementation Training
& Physical Education Training

CATCH In-School Training: July 24, 8:30AM – 3:30PM
CATCH P.E. Training: July 25, 8:30AM – 3:30PM
(Participants may register for either or both trainings.)
Day 1: Montrose Center, Room 107, Houston
Day 2: United Way Greater Houston
Cost: 1 training: $250, Both trainings: $400
For those working in district or school environments with any combination of grades kindergarten through 8th grade. School-based training covers an overview of the CATCH program and component-specific review of CATCH resource materials with a focus on the CATCH Coordination Kit. Time will be allowed for strategic planning and participants will leave with a clear sense of action items to support program implementation.
CATCH TRAINING OPTIONS
Implementation Training Attendees (July 24th)
Attendees will receive training in successfully implementing the CATCH program in their schools or organizations utilizing the CATCH materials and curriculum. The implementation training is great if your organization has one or two additional staff members that need training or you work for a very small program and only need a small number of staff trained.
CATCH P.E. Training (July 25th)
Attendees will receive training in successfully implementing CATCH P.E. in their physical education classes or other school environments. The training will center around the CATCH Activity Box. Participants will learn management and lesson planning techniques to increase the amount of Moderate to Vigorous Physical Activity (MVPA).
For over 25 years, The CATCH programs have guided children on how to be healthy for a lifetime and is recognized as the leader in health promotion and childhood obesity prevention programming.
